The following information is simply an introduction to the added controls, with some experimentation
and use the operations will become more familiar.
Your Circuit Bent Casio SK-5 comes to you with all the switches in the off position, which is either down or to the outside just like a light switch.
The switches on the right hand side and upper left corner are modulation and glitch switches. The knob on the front left side will dial out the dog bark and add
a cool repeating glitch depending on which tone, etc, youre using.
The switch on the front by the mod knob is another glitch.
The opto lens is operated by the switch directly to the right of it on the speaker grille. The brighter the ambient lighting the higher the pitch will go, keep a small lamp over this when in use.
Wave your hand around over the opto-lens and voila, the sound will change like a theremin. The pitch control switch must on in order to use the photo-cell pitch control.
The switch on the left side by the pitch knob is the Pitch control on/off. When ON(UP) you can dramatically change the pitch of the keyboard using the knob.
Always make sure the pitch oscillator switch is OFF/DOWN when you turn the keyboard on, it must boot up with the original crystal.
To sample a sound press of the sample buttons 1-4, then press either sampling or sampling long, release and immediately speak or make a sound into the onboard mic.
You can also plug directly into the sk-5 and sample the line in, when you plug in it cancels the mic.
The little button on the left side back is the reset switch, you simply press down on it momentarily to reset.
All the original functions are still intact and work as normal until you turn on a glitch, giving your sk-5 amazing, endless possibillities.
Let me know if you have any questions not covered herein. Casio online has an archive, you can get a copy of the original manual by contacting them or downloading online.
