This modified Sk-8 keyboard can create incredibly strange sounds and beats.
It now has 10 bend switches that add strange modulations, algorithmic brain wave oscillations, insect emulations, whacked out drum beats, chaotic bass, syncopated rhythms, flanging, echoing, looping, the effects go on and on for incredible combinations only limited by your imagination.
Also, theres a pitch control knob with switch that allows you to choose between the original clock or a precission oscillator . This pitch knob greatly effects pitch several octaves. Im using the getlofi ltc1799. It has a switch with an Opto-Cell that allows you to control the pitch by raising/lowering your hand over the cell varying the amount of light similar to a theremin.
Ive also added a soft reset button and 1/4" input and output jacks.
Ive also chosen to leave the onboard speaker intact so you can use it on the go or anywhere youd rather not drag your amplifier, a huge convenience factor.
Youll enjoy creating tons of new compositions with this if youre into experimental, dreamy, robot, computer rock soundscapes and ambient noise not to mention beautiful soundscapes as well, virtually whatever youre into.
This bent keyboard is an absolutely fascinating mini synthesizer that works as an normal sk-8 until you turn on a glitch.
My circuit bent creations are utilized by Mark Hoppus of Blink 182, The Moog Cookbook, BIll Miller, Mike Patton, Vernon Reid and Morgan Fisher to name a few. More than likely youve unknowingly heard my benstruments in commercials and popular releases as well.
I've chosen the modifications for this machine based on years of experience and hundreds of modified devices sold worldwide. Rest assured youre getting some of the best bends possible. I use high quality parts and solder with great skill.
